Should I give him a birthday party at the Tigers Stadium? Also, I tried to buy him tickets to see the Lions, but I can't find a web site that takes you to tickets and shows the stadium. Only thing I've found shows season tickets is it too early to try buying them or too late. I know July is a long ways away, but I want to be prepared.

Sure. We took our son and a bunch of his friends to a local minor league game (Chattanooga, TN) and they put his name up on the board and announced his birthday. He also got lots of autographs.

A party at the stadium would be very cool. I don't know what your financial situation is, but you can get bleacher seats for something like $8-$15 each. Most stadiums also have birthday packages - check the web site - go to mlb.com and then the tigers. The info will probably be under Tickets or Tiger Stadium.

As the Lions tickets, you can probably find them at stubhub.com or a similar site. I don't know if that site will have a map of the stadium, but I'm sure there is one on the team's web site. Just beware that football tickets are much more expensive. Expect to pay something like $50-$75 each for nosebleed seats.

i moved around a lot when I was too young to remember so there are a lot of teams I liked growing up. My family is from San Diego but we lived in Chicago as well so I grew up liking the Bears but not old enough to remember the Chargers. I'd always root for any California team regardless so I was happy seeing the 49er dynasty of the 80s and 90s. But as I moved to our final destination growing up, i distinctly remember my aunt giving me a Yankees jacket as a going away present to Connecticut. The Yankees were destined to be my favorite baseball team as i grew up from a boy to a man. I saw everything was right with New York and everything was wrong with Boston so I hate the Sox. I find I'm more passionate about the Yankees than I am about my favorite football team the Chargers and a close second the Titans.

Since his B-day is in July I would go with the tiger stadium party..the football game can be done for x-mas much closer to x-mas, or another idea find where the lions preseason practices are held and take him there..good opportunity for autographs..if you go to the lions official website they should have your ticket information but it is probably too early for them..good luck..wish my mom would by me season tickets

You want his day to be festive. A Lions game could really ruin the mood if you know what I mean.

The Tigers game sounds good. If you can't get the tickets via the very busy web site, check E-Bay and StubHub.

You didn't say what town you live in. But go to nfl.com/(home team) and buy tickets. And you should probobly mention how old he is. A birthday party at a stadium could also mean several things.

Some schedules for sports teams for nex season are not set. you can check the website for each team or ticketmaster Also see if there is a party price. This is a great idea, one the best presents I got from my mom was when she took me to Fenway Park (Red Sox stadium)
I was 23.

Yeah.. I'm from Detroit too... don't take him to the Lions... they suck and that'd be depressing. Tigers stadium'd be good..but consider his age... If he's older maybe consider something a little more independent.

How old is he?
Have you considered asking him what he wants to do for his birthday?
My daughter just turned 4 and she surprised me when she said she wanted to go bowling for her birthday. Your son may surprise you too.
