I mean should you stop being yourself? and alter your life style just people want you to now?

I been reading questions on here about who was to blame for there teens and childrens behavior..most people said they blame LINDSAY LOHAN,PARIS HILTON,JESSICA SIMPSON..BRITNEY SPEARS

But if what if you where them? and you just wanted to be yourself..you are just human so you make mistakes time to time..and suddenly just because outrage parents are blaming you for there kids behavior?

Should you Stop being yourself..TRY to be perfect, retrain from making mistakes? live a totally different life style?

You have a very good point there.

They never asked to be role models, but yet, it is reality, young teenagers just can't stop trying to be like them in every single way.

That's why, they shouldn't stop being themselves, but since they chose to become celebrities, they know the world's eyes are starin' at them... so, it would be KIND if they just took care of some of their behaviors.

And I don't mean going out and acting like someone else, but trying to avoid scandals and all, that might affect the minds of young teens.

But at the same time, we all know that being under people's magnifying-glasses is a burden itself, which causes them to find relaxation ways, that often lead to the public going mad at them...

If I were in their place, I'd just try to BALANCE between who I REALLY am, and how i can BE a BETTER person, a person I am more PROUD of... and that way, I wouldn't have to worry about being or not being a role model... cuz I'll be focusing on developing myself.

you are right. the celebrities shouldn't be the role model, the parents should be!

celebrities are human just like the rest of us, the only difference is, they can't hide their dark secrets because of the press, we can and do.

parents put too much pressure on the celebrities to be their children's role models.. guess what, Lindsay did not pop out 1,000,000 babies world wide, neither did Paris, Jessica, or Brittney.

the real blame for bad teenage behavior mostly lies on the teens themselves, the parents just need someone to blame because they don't want to think it is their fault, and it usually isn't.

No, I don't think anyone would suggest that you should stop being yourself. I have read that the happiest people are those that have the ability to transcend themselves in order to affect others positively. In other words, we shouldn't just think of ourselves all the time, seeking to satisfy our own desires, as is the case with the aforementioned Lindsay, Paris, Britney, et al. Be yourself, but ask of yourself how you can use your role model status to affect others in a positive way.

I would suggest you be yourself. Living a life according to people's expectations would (very) likely to hurt you and put burdens on you, simply because it's not natural to you.

If you think you are a perfectionist, it may indicate that you are striving hard to achieve the expectations of people. Over time, you would feel tired of pretending to be someone else. Please understand that simply "*No* one is ever perfect in this world." We will all inevitably make mistakes in the course of our lives.

Just do your best at school, at work, etc. Sometimes learn to be graceful to yourself if you make mistakes. Stay positive. Find family members or friends who would encourage you and not put you down or place unachievable expectations on you. Cheers.

It may be a momentary infatuation. If not, I do not know how old you are, but you may postpone leadership. The best in life takes thought and patients. Perhaps this is a for telling of your future, and it does not have to be now.

yeah, but they make propaganda about the way they live, just to stay on the top, and its pathetic
and its not entirely their fault, parents should teach kids to think for themselves instead of following models
