I like to try out the various free Antivirus programs out there. It's sort of a strange hobbie. I'll completely uninstall the old one and try something different. One that has a high rate of detection is Kaspersky Antivirus. However, the one I am using right now is F-secure. It was fairly easy to install, does a good job in detection and I have not had many problems with it. Also you can get a free 6-month trial of F-secure and others (various trial periods) on the Microsoft website. To back it up and cross-check, ill use an online scanner such as the one available at trendmicro.com called "Housecall". It will detect BOTH Spyware and Viruses then remove it from your computer. GOOD LUCK!!!

The best is Norton since they have a long history and they work so closely with Microsoft. However, if you have a Mac you would be saying, "Don't need it!"

I am currently using Norton. My computer tech put it on when he did some work for me. When it expires I will go back to AVG.
