Yeah, so Cloutier is out. Garon is out...They get this guy Sean Burke, I don't know much about him...he was playing solid for the first two periods....then HE gets injured.
The Kings Bring in Fukifuji, first NHL player born in Japan. The kings are winning 2-1....THis guy totally blew the game. The first goal, ok, they messed up on the change up, but the shot was so easy.
Brust, their other rookie, isn't any better.

Should the Kings bring up LaBarbara (who did pretty well as the backup goalie last year), or try and find another veteran?

Who should the Kings get in goal?

Yeah, but Cloutier is out with injury. He had surgery...he'll be out a while.

All of the decent guys they get manage to get injured.

Tonight was Burke's FIRST game with the kings...third period he goes out with a hand injury.

A few games after Garon comes back from injury, he gets another one.

Cloutier..dunno...he's been gone a while...surgery, I think he had a hip injury

Mathieu Garon should be back shortly into February. Cloutier is probably out for the year with his injury. Burke's injury last night (I was at the game) didn't look that severe, so I think he'd be back after the All-Star break. Fukufuji and Brust are unreliable right now, so I think what they're gonna do is just wait until after the all-star break before making any moves, then hopefully get Burke and Garon in goal for the rest of the year. If not, it's not a good idea to get another goalie because the Kings are already dead, and you don't want to have to pay another guy $2 million to give up 6 goals every night.

They can't recall Jason LaBarbera because he has a one-way contract, meaning he can be sent down whenever the kings want, but if they want to recall him, he would have to clear waivers, and it's a good chance that he would be picked up by somebody else. And he's doing good down in Manchester (AHL) so no point in recalling him. Even if he were able to come up, it wouldn't be enough to keep the Kings out of last in the West. So they should just wait until the offseason, make another contract offer to LaBarbera, one that doesn't keep him down in Manchester, and bring him and Garon back next year and try to get rid of Cloutier. Burke looked good last night, 1 goal in 24 shots, but then he got hurt. I think he's gonna retire after this year anyway, he's 39 years old. I don't think they should get another goalie right now; just play the rest of the season out and see what they can do during the offseason.

Dan Cloutier is a bum when he plays he sucks and he always gets injured. i never like the Canucks and they would just piss me off so much cause i didn't understand why a team would keep a goalie in the organization that long when his stats are terrible and even worst in the playoffs when he did play. and hes always injured, he should be out of the NHL period. Sean Burke i love the guy yes he should also retire he hasn't been a number one for years but check out his career stats great goalie on shitty teams, but i have allot of respect for him for kicking around after being on crappy teams all his career.give it a few more years and Garon will be a really good goalie.

Trust me, you don't want Cloutier. I think his career is over. I'm a Canuck fan and he was ours and the minute the guy has two or, at the most, three goals on him the game is over and the other team scores about 10. He completely loses it. With his injury I think it's "all she wrote". Sean Burke is good - what LA needs right now is a defensive strategy and maybe a new coach. Your players are talented.

Clouts has a history of injuries. I'm a Canucks fan so i know.

LA should call up LaBarbara, and continue to develop the kids. It's not as if LA's out of the playoff hunt, but mortgaging some of the future for a half decent goalie may not be the right thing now.

Cloutier is not dependable. He's so overrated. He chokes in the playoffs. He's also injury prone.
Your team should trade for a goalie. There are many teams in there that's got great goalies.

Burke is a quality goalie. He's certainly past his prime, but with his experience (20+ seasons in the NHL), he's an asset to any team.

Sean Burke is pretty good. He was very good in the playoffs vs the Senetors last year. The guy is a veteren and has played at many levels. He's exactly what the Kings need.

If the Kings called up LaBarbera he would have to go through waivers, and the Kings are afraid that someone would claim him. It has to do with his contract.

They need to give Fukufuji time to adjust to the NHL game. LaBarbara would be alright, but they should work on not sucking first.
