Look at teenagers right now. What have they grown up on? Harry Potter and the scads of YA fantasy books that came along with it, not to mention the recent renewed interest in Lord of the Rings. It's what's big in entertainment for the age group right now, and has been over the past ten years or so--prime time for current teenagers to have taken in a lot of it.

That is a good observation. I think at that point in their lives they don't have much life experiance to go on and find it easier to write about fantasy.

cause its easy, there are no rules, you can make it whatever you want. Its a fantasy.
