No just the to field is necessary to fill in the BCC Field is optional and it stands for blind carbon copy, a copy of an e-mail message sent to a recipient without the recipient's address appearing in the message.

This is useful if you want to copy a message to many people without each of them seeing who the other recipients are!

Most email programs require at least an email address in the to field, even when the BCC field is being used.

You do have to fill in the "To" field when sending emails but the BCC is optional. If you dont fill in the "To" field the email will not know where to go!!

The "To" field yes that is who the email is sent to the BCC field you dont have to that is just who you want to copy the email and send it to them too. But if i want to send an email to more than one person i put all the email addreses in the "to" box.

well you have to send an email "to" somebody, so make sure that field is filled.

BCC means to copy an email to someone else besides who you're sending the email to. it doesn't need to have anything in that field if you're not copying it to someone else.

honestly, i don't use the BCC field. if i want someone to read my email, even if its not to them but it concerns them, i put them in my TO field.

hopefully this helps some. good luck!
