I was going through my nail polish "collection." i noticed that some bottles have polish that has kind of separated. It made me wonder how long you can keep nail polish before it expires.

Just shake it up. If it doesn't go back to normal...then, I would toss it.

it can go for a few years depending on brand. about 3-5 years and sometimes more. if it gets seperated, just shake it. but when its on your nails, it will last about 1 1/2 weeks, but it depends if you wash your hands alot or bite them.

It depends on the conditions of storage. But after a year even if it appears to be OK, when applied it will crack in few hours or lose the quality in other ways.

i dont think it technically "expires" but it dried out.
if that happens, put a lil nail polish remover in it
i know thats kinda funny right? but it works; good luck

they are all different, shake them up and see if they look ok, if they get icky looking toss them out, or shake and try on a nail and see if they dry ok or not.
