I even have family contained in the Richmond section and contained in the Norfolk/Virginia coastline section. all of them like the place they stay. the fee of living in Richmond is a few million/2 of the fee in Norfolk.

I am living near Fredericksburg and other than the traffic and the high cost of housing its beautiful. Areas near Charlottesville are pretty and western mountainous part is great.

i live in va and i hate it. the only place i've lived that was even half way enjoyable was richmond. but it depends on the person. we have a lot of country here and not too many big cities. also a lot of dumb commonwealth laws that are just insane. but i stay because my family is here.

depends what you like. like big city life? then either up near dc, or down near norfolk/hampton/newport news. like smaller cities, charlottesville, harrisonburg are good places. like small city life but want to be close to bigger areas, well, there are lots of places like that. i'm 30 min from both charlottesville and harrionsburg, and lexington too for that matter
