Definitely a '40-'42 Cadillac Sixty, but it has some sort of modified / professional body behind the driver compartment.
The link below shows the most common types of body variants, but doesn't show one with what appears to be a square-shaped front-hinge rear door with rows of analog gauges facing out; very unusual.
I'd guess the car in your photo is a one-off for gathering scientific information and hauling around sensitive test equipment either for a government agency like the Army Air Corps, or a gov't contractor like Boeing, Hughes, etc.

Wow, that is a beauty, I wish I could tell you for sure, but I also would go with a cadillac based on the styling and the amount and style of the letters on the front.
