i have a psp that my sister gave to me, it was used ,it was sitting around her house for around 1, 2 .,or 3 momths not being used with the battery sittin in it when i got the psp i plugged it in to charge an the orange light comes on for about 10 minutes an it goes off when i try to turn the psp on it will not i try to turn it on while it is on the charger it will not power up i even took the battery out for a night an still it would not turn on i am very cluelless to what the problem could be any help would be greatly appreciated

i think that your problem is that the psp u got
since it is used the former owner may have messed it up
that is my only answer

OK, that's a weird problem..I have PSP too..
the solution: Check if the wi-fi is on...if it is turn it off...If it still doesn't work check the outlet if it has continuous electric current...still if it doesn't work buy a new battery and a new charger to find out either of the 2 has problem...for example the battery has the problem, return the battery that you bought on the store...if none of this work, check if the psp has valid warranty and contact Sony to fix your PSP for you w/o any charge...or if you like to pay...bring it to Geek Squad..
