William Shakespeare's real name is William Shakespeare. He finished high school but never went to college. There are only about 25 million theories put forward by 50 million different people in regard to Shakespeare's credentials. This is a HUGE question. I cd answer it for you but it would take too long. It took me 3 years of research and reading about 20,000 (yes, twenty thousand) pages to get all the information. Good luck!

There was a recent three part documentary on PBS in Los Angeles. It's title is "Searching For Shakespeare". Check out PBS's web site and see when it might be seen in your area. It was excellent;it answered many questions.
