What was your opinions on this movie? Is it worth watching?
My husband and I are trying to pick out something to watch ...

I found it an interesting film, especially if you like costume dramas..
But a few words of warning -
its more of an arthouse film than a mainstream one and certainly won't be to all tastes
Its quite slow, with a mostly unattractive Johnny Depp
Its VERY dark and grainy.
I don't mean to put you off - I liked the film - I just wanted to explain that it isn't for everyone. But if you have an open mind and enjoy realistic period films, I'd certainly recommend it. It has some funny moments but it certainly isn't a "fun" film, a la Pirates.

I absolutely hated the movie! I would have continued watching it till the end just to see what happened, but my husband refused to stay in the room with me if it continued to play. So we turned it off and put in something else.

i thought the movie was interesting...at some points especially at the beginning it seemed at little like soft core, but all in all i would watch again and even purchase it. but like the first 2 people said, it's not for everyone. very arty.

You will not like his character but you're not supposed to.
Good period piece.
