I've got the same problem...procrastination, procrastination, and more procrastination. It's amazing the things I can come up with to do when I've got assignments and exams looming.
Sometimes it helps if you set a reward for yourself...something you would enjoy and wouldn't normally have or do. Also, it helps not to look at all the work you have to do; rather, just focus on getting through one chapter or 5 questions. Perhaps try rewarding yourself with a little free computer time after you complete a chapter or set of questions....
You can do it!

Because yahoo answers gives you easy and quick results. Studying might take more work. You have to focus and you can't choose what to answer or the subject matter. If you don't understand something, don't know something or don't like something, you can't simply skip it.
Yahoo answers isn't really that different from studying. Except, with yahoo answers, you get results right away. Gosh, I'm addicted to this stupid site as much as my boyfriend is addicted to video games. I don't have a lot of work to do though...sigh. Studying is way more fun!
Why don't you create for yourself a list of study questions to answer before doing your readings. This way you can get the question and answering out of your system as well as your studying. You can pretend it's like a test and then grade yourself and see if you're in the A, B or C range in your courses. I always do this and the grades I give myself are suprisingly accurate although sometimes I grade myself a C and get an A. It's an okay suprise! Like getting best answer!

I worship Jehovah, love Him, will always, by the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ love Him. In Him was LIFE. It is wonderful how we read our bible, is it not? Is it not wonderful how we know that Jesus Christ IS the TRUTH? Amazing truth. Amazing how we SHOULD be able to know, yet so many cannot see that Truth is God, Life is God, the Way is God, the Good Shepherd is God (Jehovah), and that this entire plan of salvation is His plan along with His Father. So, I also worship Jehovah. The Muslims put respect and honor on Jesus Christ, but they also do not worship Him. They also stumble over the concept of ONE, and some others stumble over the word GREATER as if it meant 'alien' or 'not connected'. Jehovah does have warnings, 'let no man deceive you'. Jehovah, Jesus Christ. And yes, again it was my LORD (ie. Jehovah) who said to 'shake the dust off my feet' so you'd be right about this, about staying away from haters. Jesus, Jehovah does say also that 'the truth (ie. Jesus) makes you free'. I have also had love for some in this group that used to answer my questions, and sometimes winning BA and hope that one day they can 'see the light' and know when there is darkness, and not mix the two up. Yet how impossible it seems right now, how 'hard', such 'hard soil' and that is not meant to be an insult but the sense from the Holy Spirit.

Here's some motivation: if you fail the class or get an incomplete, you'll have to pay for it and redo the class or something else boring that satisfies the same requirement. Also, you can start choosing more interesting classes you like and that suit your tastes when you get through with the drudgery of requirements in Freshman/Sophomore years. You can play with Yahoo when you have your degree; get on with it!!!

The answer: Procrastination.
Sometimes it's helpful to study with a friend, so you can motivate eachother, maybe make up your own inside jokes that will help you remember some things better on the test.

You don't start on the 8 chapters because it's too overwhelming. You give up cos you don't think you will finish anyway. Just do one paragraph to start and forget about the deadline for now. Sometimes you just have to start and then it picks up momentum.

play and study? hmm. I'll take play like I'm doing now but don't blame yourself. Yahoo Answers really is addictive in the sense that when you get started you don't want to stop. Best remedy I know, if I want to get anything done I stay off PC.
