,WOW can you not think about the answer yourself or what...lol Anyways you like people to respect you genuinely right then the same compassion comes as you don;t sit there and find every fault to make someone less of a human; as we all have the flaws, errors and accepting others is how you would what others to see you as you are right cuz it would be boring to have everybody the same huh?Try to think of who they acutally grew up being this way.

It's important because not everyone can just change who they are. And even when you can, it's not always for the best. So many things go into who a person becomes I.E. genetics and raising, that a person doesn't really have much of a choice who they are. If one parent was a drug user, than that would affect the child. The child had nothing to do with it, but whatever may have happened to him, could easily be judged by others.

Payton,

God made each person unique, no one is the same.

Accepting as they are means many things.

(1) Do not prejudge anyone
(2) Allow people to be freely themselves (individuals)
(3) You cannot change anyone who does not want to be change
(4) Do not hold grudges, it will kill you
(5) Forgiveness is the greatest power next to love.

So accepting people is the ability to allow them to be who they are regardless of race, creed or orientation. Although some things are morally wrong.. as long as you or your family is not harmed by them, accept them for WHO they are NOT what they have become.

Remember, they are humans first regardless to how you may choose to view them.

What's really important is to lean to accept yourself first. If you can learn to love yourself, to accept yourself without judgment, then you can accept anyone. Look deep inside yourself and you will find that every judgment you have about another is a judgment you have about some aspect of yourself. So, if you can truly accept others, it means you have first learned to accept yourself. You are the best friend you will ever have. Accept yourself and you will be free from judgment of others...because their judgment is not important to you.

This is the way God had intended us to be. Accept others for who they are, don't judge them because they are not up to anyone elses standards. We are all unique in our own way and should all be equals. If you want people to accept you as you are, flaws and all, do the same to them. "There but for the grace of God go I" - think about that. If you don't accept them for who they are, you are being too judgemental and unfair.
