This is gross but it was traumatic for me. When I was 11 years old and had only had my period for a few months, my mom didn't seem to believe I needed anything stronger than those wimpy thin little panty liners for 'light days' because I was a kid. It's all I used at the time because it's all she gave me.
I was invited to some summer activity program at my friends church and that day I had my period. The 'flow' got really out of control and I was NOT prepared. I was a kid, so I was embarrassed to ask anyone for a pad, etc.. It was 1989 so I had on some horrible tight black cotton biker shorts with a matching half shirt. I went into the bathroom at the church and found that I had bleed through everything and my biker shorts were soaked in places. I tried to stuff a bunch of toilet paper down there as a makeshift pad but the shorts were so tight that it looked all bulky and weird. There wasn't much I could do. I had to walk around feeling like I peed my pants and my shirt wasn't long enough to cover it. The only thing I had going for me is that the shorts were black.
To make matters worse, I wasn't going straight home after the church thing. My friends mom picked us up and I was going to go over to her house to go swimming. Instead of going directly home, her mom decided to drive us to a Christian bookstore in some other town. We parked and I had to walk down the sidewalk with blood soaked shorts and things were getting sticky. No one said anything but some old people were staring at me because I was walking funny. We finally got home to my friends house and when I got out of the car, I had left a smear of blood on the light gray leather seat. My friends mom saw it and starting freaking out because she thought one of her 2 younger kids had cut themselves and was bleeding. She started checking them for cuts and I pretended I knew nothing.

I had sexual intercourse with a woman who was a total stranger to me and we did it in front of fifty or sixty people.
