I guess the advantages would be always having someone who understood you, but what about the disadvantages. I saw a woman once on Judge Judy, with her sons. They were eighteen or something, and yet the mother had dressed them identically. And get their names, Justin and Dustin. Barf!

I'm a twin. It's not that great. Going through life with people always getting you mixed up. You aren't an individual to them, you are "one of the twins". Yeah, my mom dressed us alike when we were young, we hated it.
I guess the good thing is that you never have to go through things like the first day of school alone. And your twin always knows exactly how you feel. One bad thing though, when she was pregnant I got sick & I got her cravings.

I'm a twin, and I love it. I'm a fraternal twin, with me being a girl and my twin being a boy, and we look almost nothing alike. When we were younger, there was another set of twins in our grade, a pair of identical boys. There are some advantages and disadvantages. Advantages was that I always had a play date, and the two of us always had that sort of mutual understanding. Disadvantages was that sometimes I wanted to have some 'girl time' and he didn't, and we would fight a lot.

Sharing a birthday wasn't that bad, the way I saw it:
Bigger Party (we got them every second year when we were younger)
All of our Friends Get Invited
Which means More Presents!

So it's hard sometimes, and since the two of us look so different, most don't even guess we're related, much less twins. But, when you look closer, you see that it's there. But I would never trade being a twin for anything in the world.

Except maybe being a triplet :P
