Why is it that everytime I look at a picture in a store and all I see is a picture of a blond hair blue-eyed man that never existed, Don't nobody knows how Jesus looks, so why do white people portray him as a white man?

I'm not a racist. I was just wondering so I don't see why people get offended, cause you know what---Just think about it. Imagine if all you see is a picture of a black guy portrayed as Jesus Christ, trust me patna your mind will start to wonder and you'll ask the same thing. and on top of that, remember when O.J Simpson got off the hook for the murder of his wife? Now yall don't lie. Yall was mad as hell when the jury had deliberated and said not guilty so don't even front on me cause all I asked was a simple question sensitive jerk. I have friends that are white and we get along fine and all they talk about the passion of the Christ and the man that played Jesus Christ was white and that had me wondering. Just imagine if Mel Gibson hired Will Smith to play Jesus Christ----America would've been protesting and the movie would've flopped so you say that i'm a racist, you need to look in the mirror pal...

you should keep in innovations we were all made contained in the photo and likeness of God. The artist from northern France, England, Germany hardly ever or not in any respect talked about someone from the middle east or Africa. he used community community for fashions. It become no longer a count number of racism. i noticed that that is about the 0.33 time this week an same question has surfaced. If the colour of the photo bothers you perhaps you should attend amenities at St Benedicts parish in North Omaha. they have a black Jesus there. in case you want a lighter colour attempt attending amenities in Asia, imperative or South u.s. Or on a community American reservation. Church is for worship no longer for operating your self right into a tizzy about the colour of a statue. it would want to be smarter and low-priced in case you spent extra time annoying about his message than about the colour of a statue.

whites may not be thinking that Jesus Christ is white, but those artist that drew the first photos of Jesus. In anycase, I think that we should make reference to the bible that says no (form) of image of God (wether the father, son or the holy spirit) should be made. In essence it is completely wrong to ascribe any man made drawing or existing human qualities to christ as we humans are the ones that actually perticipate in the perfect qualities of God or Christ as explicable by the trinity.

That's a good point - he usually is portrayed as blue eyed and white.
Assuming that white people all think Jesus is white is a fairly HUGE generalization however.

I think that it is because whenever you find out somebody was wonderful and meaningful to the world you want to relate to them some how. So since people believe most great things are done by white people they often associate Jesus with that race.

Hey I'm white and how do you how I think?
Most pics I've seen are Brown hair Brown Eyes.
And nobody knows how Jesus looks. (Don't nobody knows, whats that?)
Jesus is who is in your, heart, mind , and Soul, not a picture on the wall.

Jesus was a person of color, Jesus never, ever in his thirty three years stepped a foot in Europe, He was born in the middle east, his feet was the color of bronze, his hair was not straight or curly, it was like sheep's wool, now show me a caucasion that looks like that, they try to get Jesus's color by sun-tanning, but God did not bless caucasions with melon in their skin. So just because God didn't give it to you, don't hate on people of color!!!!!!

Every country I've been in portrays Jesus as their race. Black in Africa, Chinese in China, and etc. People want Jesus to be what they are instead of wanting to be what Jesus is.

i dont think the person asking the question is being racist at all. they are simply referring to the description in the bible....it tells of bronze skin, and hair like sheeps wool....etc. which is nothing like the white images seen... thats why they r asking.
