Very bizarre, how old is the husband? Does she gratify him in some odd way that he doesn't want to mention? Regardless, he should be there for his children and be more honest with his wife about what his plans are. He probably will regret it. I hope he's not shallow enough to leave for a rich, older woman in hopes to make money off the deal - that's really sick.

How old is the husband? Does the 60 year old have money, or is she just willing to listen to him and comfort him? Could be he is looking for a mother figure. Because she is 60, don't count her out. She has been there done that and knows what men want. She may have been divorced twice but that may not have been her fault. She has pleased at least two men in her life for awhile! Do you want him back? Would you ever trust him again? For him to leave his wife and kids, something wasn't right. Either he wasn't, or you weren't, or you both weren't. Counseling might help, if he would be willing. Do you still speak with him? Where is he living? Sooner or later, free rides end.

He appears to be tired of his present situation that probably has financial difficulties as well as too many responsibilities with no rewards. This is the same reason women leave their boyfriends & husbands and hook up with old frogs with money & security. The older set often have the means and desire to take care of their mates who in turn just provide companionship while enjoying many of the finer things in life. That is not crazy, that is just not taking responsibility to see things through for the sake of their children and wives until things get better. In a nutshell.....

Not necessarily. Not everyone wants a wife/husband, kids and a home. I would probably want to leave in that situation, but luckily I'm female and can just choose not to have children and never have to worry about being tricked into it.

No, he just fell for someone else. It's hard to accept and to make it easier on you, you assume he is nuts. He was wrong to leave you and his kids but if he doesn't love you anymore, why would you care? Let him go, you can do better. Focus on your kids, make them secure.
