The Cure (Disintegration was the best album of that decade), U2, Stray Cats, Iron Maiden, Dokken, Dio, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Animotion, Styx, Dramarama (In Los Angeles KROQ's number one song of the 80's was "Anything, Anything" by Dramarama), The Clash, Survivor, J. Geils Band, Steve Miller Band (Abracadabra)....

U2 WAS the band of the 80's but you had the Police(Sting), The Cars, INXS, don't forget the GoGos and Bannana Rama LOL, and the Boomtown Rats were cool, there was the Clash, of course- London Calling- and those guys from Athens,Ga. REM-very cool.
plus all the hair bands- Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, the list goes on.
U2 saved the 80s!!!!!
