that is the coolest song!! Santeria is a kind of cult religion - it's practiced here in the south (south carolina) and down in the carribean.... I don't think it has much else to do with the song itself. the song is about Sancho( a guy) who has stolen his woman. I love the lyrics.
hey!! Sublime was a great band !! too bad the lead singer had to die and ruin the whole thing!

Santeria is a carribean religion that combines elements of Catholicism and Voo Doo.
It also has to deal with him being cheated on..

It's actually Santaria, a witchcraft type practice that is prevailent in South America. I think he wants to kill Sancio, but he doesn't believe in the occult, so he gets a 45!! Now he's got something for his punkass!!
