The Supreme Court held that there was no Due Process Right to Counsel in criminal cases other than those with the potential for the death penalty. This was the law of the land until Gideon v Wainright was heard in 1960's Majorities on the court all upheld this idea in cases such as Powell v Alabama and Betts v Brady. So, since Due Process is considered a fundemental right, these majorities who denied it were wrong

No, can't prove a generality like that. One way or another.

The majority isn't always right. But neither is anybody else always right.

I'd rather live under majority rule than any other kind of government.

What is the point to this question?

"Well the majority always wins!"
Unless the Supreme Court says they won't allow that win.

Yes. The majority of Germans during the Nazi era were not right. During the middle ages, the majority of people who thought the planets and the sun revolved around the Earth were wrong. The majority of white folks who thought black folks were inferior back in the 19th century were wrong. A majority of people used to think that colds came from cold weather were wrong. Shall I go on???

Look at the Bush administration, the majority was duped by policies and procedures promised that never happened. The majority was right until it was shown they were deceived. Circumstances that's what makes the majority become the minority.

Here is a possible way....................................

Do you think you are smarter than the majority of people in your country?

If you believe you are smarter than the majority then that means the majority is not as smart as you.

That means if you agree with the majority you are really agreeing with mostly a bunch of idiots who are not as smart as you.

So if the majority of the majority is dumber than you, are all those people dumber than you right?

makes you wonder about the " majority "

Well maybe it is ....but not when people are not allowed to vote...voting machines have compromised soft ware...the owner of the voting machine manufacturer has promised the election to someone...when someone goes over the head of the legal authority of a state court and goes to the Supreme Court...mainly appointed by his daddy...to declare himself president.

The majority is seldom right. The majority consists of uninformed sheep who bray whatever they are inundated with, and form opinions based on like-mindedness. That's what sports pages were invented for; to distract the majority
