Yet they both sound the same the h is silent.

You have to explain the name to us ("with an H NOT Megan") let alone if you give it to your baby when she grows up she will have to explain that to everyone.Don't make her life more complecated...trust me,it will be complecated enough.We don't need to make it worse.

Meghan is a good strong irish name. I haven't ever met a lass named Meghan that wasn't a pretty girl.

Yes, I love Meghan. It looks just as normal to me as Megan without as H. Sounds like an all-American (or Irish) little girl. Especially love nickname Meg.

It is an excellent name. The irish heritage behind it makes it special. And it is beautiful splelled that way.
