Take to your old CPU back. If it is a costly software, you have the original installation package. Save modified files from your hard drive to a CD or to another partitio in the HD. Rebuild your PC with new CPU, Install the software, copy saved files to provided directory.

Well Joe your picture represents your intelligence. Why would you mess with your CPU in the first place. Well there is a way to fix this but you will have to work hard for this. First take your CPU you took out of your old computer and stick it in the stove at 500 degrees for 5 min. Once that is done shove it deep into your freezer and leave it there for 48 hours once that is done you should have all your software on your CPU and none of your files will be corrupted.

Yes it's possible, the CPU only has the problem but not the harddrive, but when you connect the hard drive to a new PC, it will configure, since all the device are not yet registered on the previous installation. The Best Advice I can give you is, try to copy all the important documents you have on the old Hard drive. then reformat it and reinstall it, this for a better performance.

Believe it or not, this actually works.

Take your hard drive and stick it in the freezer. Leave it in for an hour to 2 hours and then take it out and stick it in. It will work. Quickly transfer your files from that one to your other one before it gets to warm back up. Because once it does, it will stop working. This is all because of the atoms coming together and going apart. When they are together the virus or whatever is overlooked and gone to the non-corrupted data.

But it rarely works twice so work fast. Also try to transfer the hard drive to another hard drive but if you can't. Burn those Cd's as fast as you possibly can.

yes, the hard drive can be removed, then connected by cable on to another computer, which is running the same operating system as your hp pavilion. the hard drive, when installed correctly, can then be accessed and you can remove any files and folders you want. this can be done for you by a technician in a shop, or by yourself, or one of your friends who is computer system savvy.

Yes, but it's complicated so I recommend you to go to a computer place and I think getting information and software out of a dead computer could be kind of expensive.
