Are you an illusion of your own prison? If you are consistent with your illusion are you a prisoner? If you are inconsistent with your own illusion are you a MADMAN? Being a prisoner to ones illusion is like being stuck in one's skin - it may seem confining at times, but the alternative make for a great horror movie. It seems that it would be more limiting to be blind to ones illusion. Then you are being acted upon, and not doing the acting, or the BEing.

Just look at my name. Yes, I am definitely a prisoner of my own illusions. This question describes me perfecly.
I have Aspergers Syndrome and if you know its symptoms, I tend to live in my own ideals and illusions rather than face the reality. I know it's not healthy, but there is no path to reality for me. Reality is just one huge precipice (tempting at times) that I constantly float above.

life is what you make of it, its your own "illusion" you can create what you want of it just let your mind take you there people live there life's to afraid of the up coming obstacles. Do what makes you and the people you love feel good that's all you should worry about because after you get fired and lose all your money that's whats left. SO everyone escape from your own illusion and make your life what you really want and let nothing hold you back.

I wouldn't say that I am although I do spend a majority of time living in my mind and sometimes people find it hard to get me out of there. I never create an illusion for myself though because that would be too weird.

I'm guessing you are interested in respondents interpretation of the question...
I feel that everyone has opinion and life experience that lead them to approach each situation with a unique outlook, I guess that is an "illusion" of sorts and I dont think you can escape your own perception of a situation so I guess to answer your question, YES

Illusions ? Expansive thinking . . . creative mind. . .dare to seek truth to what appears to be an illusion (a dream) yet is discovered can actually be a reality of bringing a dream to life.
My ' illusions ' are dreams (goals, desires, etc.) being brought to reality. My ' illusions' (dreams) encourage and free me to move forward towards my goals in life.
Daring not to dream is holding oneself prisoner, holding own self emotional hostage.
Dreams are freedom.

Yes, I think that I am. My family is grown, I feel very old, I look older than my age, and I'm depressed about all that. My car is broken down, so driving out of the city (which makes me very happy) is not possible right now. So, I'm kind of a prisoner in my own house, as well.

No !! since as soon as you come to know about the illusion, you will correct it to be reality!!!Or fiction!!! So how can we say that we are prisoner???
May be what you want to say is that uncontrolled thought can make you a prisoner of your thoughts! ?

Yes, I keep on thinking about life from a biology point of view.
We are just made of tissues and water. Nothing else. Sex is just a hormonal response developed by evolution to continue engineering the human race.
Microbial infection is everywhere--from pins to the fingers I'm typing with. We're also just simply the users of the nervous system.
