I agree based on the theory that Clinton and Obama will split the Democratic vote between 2 people and allowing a unified Republican party to win out. And I am also betting which ever Democrat ( Obama or Clinton ) loses the nomination will still have enough funds to continue campaigning.......especially Hillary.

So do you agree that making Democrats choose between a white woman and a black man will split them enough to let the Repubs win it in 08?

Agree. Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot in their continuing efforts to appeal to "margin voters".

Let me try to answer your question, with this idea...Clinton or Obama-or whoever gets the Democratic Nomination-will have to reach out to the Left of the liberal movement. With, Obama's statements regarding "surgical strikes" against Iran and Clinton's statements that the insurgencey in Iraq is on its last legs-it leaves us no one to look to.

So, we-and I am one of them-of the Left, will look for a third party candidate. May be someone like Nader, this will draw votes away from the 2008 candidate and just possibly, make the Democratic Party acknowledge that it needs our vote to win..So basically, it'll split the vote in half like in 2000 and if the Republican candidate be Brownback or McCain, they'll win.

the only guy or woman formally working top now for the Democrats is John Edwards. Clinton and Obama have in basic terms declared that they have got created committees to look into working. i do no longer think of that it will remember who the Democratic candidate is after the primaries, besides, using fact the social gathering will come mutually in the back of that guy or woman. i do no longer think of the Republicans have a stable candidate no matte who wins of their primaries, to be completely elementary. If Clinton and Obama are clever, nonetheless, they are going to run mutually with Edwards as their marketing campaign supervisor. the three of them may be unstoppable mutually.

Some good thoughts but it is way to early yet. Clinton will stay up front, but Obama will quickly fade or be a VP candidate. Other strong Democrates(in name) could emerge. Republicans are far from being defeated. When people finally understand the global war on terrorism a Republican will walk right into the White House.

Disagree - the one who loses the nomination will not be stupid enough to run anyway.

I hope not. I don't think I could handle another four years of a republican president.
