I always liked the Ultima series. But unless you have some extensive computer skills, it will be hard to get them to work on your computer. Ultima is the best though...they made about 10 of them, including online ones as well. Of the Ultima series, the 7th is a favorite for many fans...especially me (it's really two games). If you look around on Amazon/Ebay...the whole set generally costs ALOT because they aren't in production anymore. But they are very fun, classic RPG. Warning though....highly addictive! Good luck!

Hmm...I'd recommend the following...
Gamecube: Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos(if you can handle the voice-acting) and Baten Kaitos:Origins, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance(if you like tactical games too)
PS2: Tales of the Abyss
GBA: Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age

If you are looking for great gameplay I might suggest Final Fantasy XII but it is not much for story line. If you want more of a story line RPG I would go for Valkrie Profile Lenneth

If You're looking for onlie, I can'ts help you. But in terms of single-player, any Final Fantasy (FFX is the best in my opinion), or if you have Xbox get Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.
