you know like the ones you dont here on the radio and mtv everday? like i love bands like fall out boy and all american rejects but i need more!

Personally, I'd suggest bands such as Quasi, Throwing Muses, Neutral Milk Hotel, Yo La Tengo, and Idlewild. There are a few bands out there that have gotten some airplay but the majority of their stuff has been ignored by the mass market such as Meat Puppets, Modest Mouse, and the Flaming Lips. I'm assuming you're from the States (may be wrong, but...) so I'd suggest looking into bands that have gotten a good bit of popularity elsewhere but rather ignored here such as Sigur Rós and Pulp as well as early stuff by bands that made it big but were at one time "underground" such as R.E.M.

Haha i appreciate this question cuz Paramore become not in any respect underground, you shouldnt pay interest to bands merely cuz they don't seem so difficulty-free you should pay interest on them cuz you in user-friendly words like the music. you're so worried about what human beings imagine of you! Pig face,skinny puppy,Primus, KMFDM, Alien sex fiend, the aphex twin., Are some good bands along with Thrill kill cult, static X, Ween is excellent but not underground, Alice DJ, DJ Polywog, Shipping mouth, Massive Attack, Polygon window, Ramsteinn, The cramps, Thats al I can think off right know

some of these aren't really "underground" but you def. don't here them often, if at all, on the radio or MTV
