The myth comes from the fact that some big time rockers have die when they were 27. The list total up to 18 and includes Jimmy Hendrix and Kurt Cobaine. The name of the first rocker to die at that age ( i think it maybe the first famous rocker) is welcome too.

The "27 Club" is a popular culture reference to a group of several rock musicians, each of whom had a meteoric rise to success that was cut short by a drug-related death at age 27. The musicians are:

*Robert Johnson (May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938) — Legendary blues musician, actual age uncertain although was most likely 27.
* Brian Jones (February 28, 1942 – July 3, 1969) (The Rolling Stones)— Drowned in his swimming pool
* Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) (The Jimi Hendrix Experience) — Asphyxiated on vomit while sleeping
* Janis Joplin (January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970) (Janis Joplin, Big Brother & The Holding Company) — Heroin overdose
* Jim Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971) (The Doors) — Alleged heart failure; actual cause of death unknown
* Kurt Cobain (February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994) (Nirvana) — Recorded as suicide, although some believe he was murdered by Courtney Love.

Midget, get out of that grave. otherwise, you would be ingesting moss brownies, flying the marble kite, taking a spin in a brass-dealt with sedan, making a call from the horizontal telephone sales area, serving eternity in a pine penalty container, and staying booked interior the hotel Deep Six.

I've heard that it dates back to Robert Johnson and the supposed deal he made with the Devil at "the Crossroads". In return for his musical gift, he was taken at 27, as were others in the "line" of gifted players who died at the same age.
