I'm looking EVERYWHERE for a quote about singing
in the shower, and can't find 1. can anyone think of 1,
make 1 up, or know where i can maybe find 1????

btw, its not 4 me, but 4 a very good friend of mine,
and she's having a hard time finding 1 for her myspace.
It's the least i can do.

i want them to have this kind of feel(u can take them if u want) :
-- growing old is mandatory.
growing up is optional.
-- people may not remember exactly what you
did, or what you said, but they'll always
remember how you made them feel.
-- Laugh your heart out, dance in the rain,
Cherish your memories, ignore the pain
LOVE, LEARN, and FORGIVE
Because you only have one life to live<3

please. get creative. its HIGHLY appreciated

Hi - I am entirely too tired to get creative right now, but here is a fabulous poem (that I actually have on my office wall) and think is just fabulous and captures a lot of what you have so eloquently said.

WHEN I AM AN OLD WOMAN I SHALL WEAR PURPLE
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

Tonight I'm going to shower and then just walk for about four hours and look at the moon.

"Singing in the Shower" by Julia Hatfeild

Morning has come
Much too soon
He puts on his tie
And thinks of you
Singing in the shower
Dreaming of nights he's been missing
All of his life

Singing in the shower
No one can hear
He's been no one for forty years
He wanted to live like a rolling stone
With a beautiful wife
And city and country homes

Singing in the shower
He's off tonight
He's been no one all of his life
Singing in the shower
No one can hear
He's been waiting for forty years

Tears in his eyes
Washing away
Singing in the shower
No one can hear
He's been waiting for forty years
Singing in the shower
Got no stage fright
He's been practicing all of his life

I find those internalizing about nature and putting them to well-composed details the most poetic ones. also those who use verbal analogies with words substitution and euphemysm creative. They inspire you to dig deeper the meaning of the poetry.
oops i didn't know there was a continuation to the question. Now that tells the difference duh me!lol
a qoute? here it goes

make light of day's shortcomings each day adds up with our age;looking back is not an option but only as a reminder how we gave meaning to someone's life; let go of pain and let rain wash it to oblivion. Optimism is the keyword.

The poets in this website would be extremely joyful that may be useful you. although, we don't do homework. make an effort first and then ask for help. ok, you made a initiate. Poetry is complicated to place in writing. We spend hours and hours on a single poem. shop attempting, we are listening.

I think you have made a beautiful poem yourself for your friend. Just look at your posting. It's lovely and just needs a little tweaking to add a reference to a shower.

a shower may bring out the song from a man
just as kindness may lighten the heaviest hand
