my boyfriend has a cellphone and is with orange mobile. i am looking for a site that is free to send a text message from my computer to his cell phone. do you know of any free text messenging sites ?

ok, this answer is not going to address your immediate need, but there is a site called Peekamo that allows for free txt messaging from the web to a mobile phone. Its free for the user and the recepient. If you do the reply email thing as suggested above, yes its free for you, but your boyfriend will get charged.
The reason I say that it doesn't solve your immediate need is that Peekamo.com only services Canada and the USA for now. International is opening up soon. If you have friends/family in Canada or the USA that you want to TXT for free to from the web, then Peekamo.com is your best choice.

try yahoo messenger, and icq messenger these used to do pc to phone text messages at one time not sure if they still do

well here's a Lil trick i learned. have him send a text message from his phone to your email address. then you will be able to reply directly from your computer, to his phone.
