i have been using drugs. i do painkillers, downers, and very rarely ecstasy. i also like to enjoy the occasional coke line. and i smoke pot every once in a while. i am NOT addicted in any way. i am fully functioning and happy and healthy. i dont do these drugs often enough to develop any health problems and dont do them enough to become an addict. i am sober about 75 percent of the time. and when im not, i dont drive, dont stay in public, and i dont go to work under the influence. i am in a safe enviroment, and i know my limits. i excersize and eat right and take vitamins and minerals. and alot more than the average person. all my substances come from a trusted source. i use occasionaly and have been for 8 years. i am not addicted because i sometimes an swamped with work and i have gone weeks without anything with no type of withdrawls. i am in control of the drug fully and always have been. im happy and more in touch with my spirituality. DARE was wrong. what do you think???

They judge because it's risky behavior. Even though you are a healthy, well adjusted person who is not an addict, it's still dangerous and you know that. No one is ever 100% in control of everything all of the time. I used to do a lot of acid when I was younger and I was always in a 'safe' environment. I hate to think what could have happened if the house accidentally caught on fire or some other unexpected emergency situation arose while I was tripping. I probably would have gotten hurt somehow.
It's good that you are in control of yourself and don't go over the edge but I disagree with anyone who says they have full control over the drug itself. Just sounds like you're able to handle it because you have self control, not control over the drug. Drugs change you, you don't change the drug.
I missed the whole DARE program by a year. I don't exactly know what they went on about other than 'drugs are bad'. I don't believe drugs are the problem, it's the people who use/abuse them. I don't do any drugs anymore other than occasionally taking a few too many painkillers because I don't like the person I become when I'm on them. I've also gotten myself into too many dangerous situations to trust that I can be 'responsible' while 'high'.

It's allot easier to judge when your not in the situation. All I will say is be careful. I was given Lortabs for a back injury and became really addicted to them. I didn't consider myself a drug addict until I went without one day. I had used drugs recreationaly when I was younger and had never became addicted to anything before. It's good you don't do it everyday, because pain killers have grown to the #1 most addictive and common drug. Just be careful and know what your doing, side effect and long term effects. Like cocaine and pain killers mixed kills people. It causes a rubber band effect on your heart, and your heart can stop from trying to keep up with the speeding up and slowing down. NEVER mix an upper and a downer!
Addiction can creep up on you. Just keep yourself aware.
PS Stay away from Ecstasy. It's not worth it. There is numerous ingredients in them, all different, including both uppers and downers. Different E pills contain drugs, and it's impossible to tell what's in there. People tend to use E because it's not something you can really do everyday but all it takes is one bad pill.

Yeah...you keep right on doing what you're doing and one day you'll probably (hopefully NOT) find yourself bored with what you're doing and then you'll crave more and then more and then before you know it...you're sucked into that vicious cycle that is so hard to escape. Do you REALLY want to take that chance ? My brother can't handle alcohol or drugs but has been doing them anyway now and then, a good bit lately. He had sold them, almost overdosed on them occasionally (ecstasy) and he's been in jail numerous times, cost my parents tons of hard earned money, worried us to death, became violent and scared us to do death and yes...this is all because he can't handle it and he's irresponsible but face it...drugs are really no good for anybody in the long run and big scheme of things...why do you need them ? Because you don't like yourself without them. You need them to enjoy life sometimes and they're YOUR crutch. Why don't you try to enjoy life without them ? Can't do it, can you ? If you could...you wouldn't do it at all. I get bored with life like everyone else...but I know better than to mess with something that's bad for you and against the law. They are from the devil and I firmly believe this. But do what you will. You may regret it one day. I'm only trying to save you from a life of hell that could potentially be yours one day. I hate drugs with a passion. I smoked marijuana a few times when I was younger (I'm 36 now, and my brother's 25). Sure...I loved how it made me feel and it smells good. But I never kept it up and haven't touched it in over 10 years. It's against the law and wrong. But nobody's perfect they say and everybody has their vices...BUT, when you use drugs you're supporting the drug dealers' lifestyles and THEY are only contributing to the delinquency of the world. The world would be a better place without drugs for weak people to abuse themselves with and bring hearteache to their families. Don't ya think ???

I think that you and I are alike in the fact we don't have addictive personalities, we can moderately try substances but we can say no at any time and we put our priorities first, unfortuately not everyone is like this and those people use it to excess creating addicts out of themselves and therefore creating a bad name for the drug that they use, also there are a few drugs that really can grab you without your awareness of your addiction to it, like crack and heroin, both of these drugs are quite dangerous and so fulfilling the first few times you use them that it can be difficult to stop, my advice is to just use your head and focus on the good people in your life and moderation, moderation is the key

So... if the drug utilising teenagers are chuffed and getting staggering grades, how do the different teenagers and instructors comprehend that they are utilising drugs? often a instructor purely turns into responsive to a student's drug use while the student comprises classification severe/stoned, or his artwork declines. And drug utilising teenagers tend to charm to close out with different drug utilising teenagers, so don't have plenty danger to be taken care of 'like airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud' by way of their different friends. (And rather, if we are meant to have self belief the way issues artwork, that's the non-purchasers who're made to experience undesirable, and finally end up experimenting with drugs by way of look rigidity and a ought to slot in.) i'm additionally fascinated to renowned what 'positives' there are to spending time in penal complex.

some people do not have control the way you do, and those are the ones that tend to get laughed at. I see no reason to laugh we all have one form of addiction or another some is caffeine, others it is pills, for some it is food, but we all have one... I figure do not talk about a person if you not going to take the time to help them.

I think that drugs are a waste of time and money, and I don't even see why people bother with them. If they can't 'be cool' or deal with personal things without drugs, then they are hopeless.
I don't think that you can ever know FOR SURE that they are from a trusted source unless you yourself made the drugs from scratch.

I dont judge them. U do what u wanna do, u shouldnt even care what anyone does think if they do judge u. Obviously they dont know u! They dont understand that its your life... as long as what u do doesnt effect them it is none of there business. As for family and friends its ok for them to worry, but they should downgrade u. Thats good that u know your limit. But please be careful. I used to take ex and smoke weed. My memory is now shot to h*ll. But thats just me. Cuz like you, I had no problem quitting cuz i was never addicted. But good luck in everything u do!
