I just want to gain an understanding on why you think that it would ever be okay.

uhmm just voicing my opinion here, but you need to realize that god put animals on earth for us to eat if we need to and to use their fur to stay warm.
I LOVE EATING ANIMALS yummmmmy
I LOVE WEARING FUR COATS super warm and cozy
PETA
(people for the enjoyment of tasty animals)"

you are so right. But you have it all backgwards. God put them here to feed us, i do eat meat. But he did not make them so that we could inject them with steroids, hang them by their feet, cut of their beaks and hooves, etc. If you are going to eat meat go organic!

And fur is simply unnaccpetable. They raise animals to die. For more information see

And you may be saying; but there would be overpopulation. No, if they did not raise these extra animals the mink, fox, and rabbit population would be just fine. Lastly, they dont use the meat of the animal, they kill it, skin it, and throw the corpse away.

And if you were also wondering about leather, which is extremely similar to fur in the sense that it is fut minus the fur part... since leather is a byproduct of the beef industry, the leather would go to waste if nobody used it, so if we have leather items, they would most likely come from a beef cow, so the animal did not die in vein. Someone will eat the beef. (if you will eat beef, go organic. its good for you and the cows). So, most peoples cars are leather interior, that most likely came from a cow who was a 'beef' cow. And dont worry, most of the cow was used for something. Unlike fur animals who are born and raised to be killed.

"You do realize when everyone was a cave man hunderds of thousands of years ago we depended on animals for their furs and meat. You can't really stop the process no matter how angry you get. i agree its wrong to treat animals cruelly but thats what they were really put on the earth for to help Humans. "

again, you are also right, but we shouldnt abuse our welcome by breeding animals to be killed, injecting them with steroids, etc. Also, we are modern, we are way past killing an animal for its fur, especially when the actual animal is just killed!

Don get me wrong, i eat organic chicken which is meat, but there is a limit.

I personally don't wear fur, as I feel it isn't right as well and that there is very good synthetic fur out there. Leather I can sort of understand, as we eat cows anyway, (even though many cows used for leather making don't end up eaten.) but I don't see the point in endangering or harming a species of animal just so a wealthy person can make a fashion statement. I myself am not a PETA activist or anything, and I do eat meat. That's just my opinion.

I don't have a fur coat, but I would have no more qualms about wearing farm-raised fur than I would about eating chicken or beef that was farm/ranch raised, or wearing leather shoes. If an animal is endangered, that's one thing; if an animal is raised for the purposes of using its coat or feathers and/or meat, then it's not endangered, and I don't have a problem with it.

I don't own a fur coat. I do have a fur hat, one of those bomber hats with the ear flaps, which is really warm and comfortable. I know, it looks silly, but I'd rather look silly and be warm than stylish and cold. I own a leather jacket, too. Is that ok?

I like to wear fake fur coats.....not REAL fur beacuse you dont kill an animal just to warm you up when there is fake stuff that does the same thing....but some people dont care they go with the style

The bounty of nature is nature's gift to mankind.

The abuse occurs when her bounty is squandered.

Wear fur, eat meat, drink milk, but only as you have need.

And always be grateful.
