I guess people (especially me, a Native American) feel strongly about themselves as people of color, or a certain ethnic background. It's who we are, and what defines us as a tribe or a particular nation.
For instance, Asians are not white people, and black people are totally different from Native Americans. Though we are all humans, certain things about our biological makeup set us apart in genetics. A person of African descent will have totally different DNA from a Caucasian person. Scientists use this to tell people apart, and to solve mysteries, and to piece together history, as well as help solve crimes, and such. That's one reason why race is important to know.

Also, it's good to be different. Wouldn't it be weird if the whole planet was one race? If there is a God, then there's a reason for races.
For people who believe more in science, I guess there are races because of the way people adapted to their country.

All I know is that, races exist for a reason, and it's not just for us to argue over.

Race offers us cultural values, which offers us difference and a way of belonging. We are all human and all of us live to tell the tale the equal planet and all of us have the equal demands and the equal disorders. Not all cultures have the equal demands and the equal disorders even as; hence, from that perspective race is foremost. On a international groundwork, race is irrelevent considering that on a international groundwork there are ongoing demands and disorders which are average to all races that have to be addressed on the international degree. This was once the motive why the UN was once founded. The UN has no longer labored very good considering that the ambassadors acquire their instructional materials from their dwelling governments which use the UN as political discussion board---the communist are popular for this. God foresaw all this going down while he separated mankind on the Tower of Babel. Mankind will certainly not revert to its fashioned race, however ultimately it'll will likely be united beneath the Godhead of Jesus Christ. All races will a few day reside in best peace and concord in the course of the millennium kingdom of Jesus Christ. Until such time we have to tolerate our variations as excellent we will be able to. As a minister of the gospel I minister a huge style of races and ideals---that's what God has ordained me to do. When I seem at a organization of individuals all I see is souls that experience both been gained for Christ or souls that have to be gained for Christ---I would care much less approximately what colour the frame is, its gender, in which it got here from or what its beyond is. My best obstacle is approximately in which that soul goes. It could be pleasant if all ministers and clergymen would undertake the equal habits. My wish is for a best international dominated via Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Jesus loves you.

Race is only as important as you make it. I personally don't belive in race. Race is defined only by appearance (which means absolutely nothing). Such as skin color, eye color, length of fingernails, or how big your left pinkie toe is. It's rediculous. Race stimulates and breeds hate and give people a reason to set themselves apart from other people. The only true race that could ever be defined or set would be blood type...and there is no way to descriminate against people for that because you can't tell what blood type they are just by looking at them.

You're just asking a question to ask it? Oh well...

Why is race so important? Aside from certain medical information/statistics and culture that usually corresponds with race, race is mostly important because we make it important.

the life is up to the race,if you are a person who has a black skin, you will suffer some discrimination.of course, not all of people discriminate them, however,if you are this kindof person, you will feel inferior.nowadays every kind of person will get discrimination expect white man,it is unfair.especially, the Chinese, many contries discriminate chinese.personally speaking,i think we are all the people in tne world, whatever race you are, nobody has right to laugh at you ,all people should respect each other,so i think race is not so important.

humans make race important. race is mearly the physical attributes people of a certain region of the world share. we are all human beings. we all have skin that covers our muscles, veins, bones, etc. we all have two eyes, ears, hands, feet. we all have the same body parts, just different depending on your ancestry. we are not different from each other. we are all God's children. He loves each and every one of us the same. why don't we?

Because white ancestors made it important. So that's how everyone look at it. People in this world do things that they were taught. This whole world is taught something. So I try not to take things personally. I am multi-racial and whites consider me black and blacks consider me white. Why can't I be a person? I just consider myself a person and that's all that matters.
