Hi was was just wondering what BMI means
i asked a question and the person said "if you have any of those characteristics and a BMI lower than 17.5 then you'll get to look forward to" but i dont understand what that stands for or how to find it out

It stands for Body Mass Index. It's a chart for height and weight. I have a few problems with it, as it doesn't take into account age, gender, build, or muscle mass. It does not work for everyone. It's a decent screening tool to see if you need to have your weight examined further, but it is not the end all and be all of healthy weight.

Now, if you have a BMI of less than 17.5, you probably need to see a doctor, because that may be an unhealthy underweight, and needs to be explored further.

BMI means body mass index. You could calculate it by dividing your weight by square of height in metres. Eg. If u r 45kg heavy and 1.55m tall, then your
BMI = 45/1.55sq. If ur BMI is greater than 25 then u r obese and must control ur diet to a large extent.
