By using that, you're calling a dead spirit to answer your questions. What if the spirit won't go back?

To answer your question, I think neither is dangerous as I don't believe either is anything other than idiosyncratic movement (Ouija board) or wishful thinking/deception/subconscious expression (automatic writing).
