Hi im a sophmore and on a varsity team. As a freshman last year, i was hazed often although not severely and I got by just fine. Now the tables turn and I should be hazing freshmen. I really dont like them, there annoying, and dont know anything. My teamates prank them often and encourage me to participate. Should I? Should everybody go through it?

my own coach doesnt care. Last year he was like "theres no discrimination on this team unless you're a freshman" and "you kno what the best part of being a freshman is?....becoming a sophmore".

How you choose to act to this is going to show just what kinda of person you are, and ultimately what you strive to be and where youll end up -- or should i say what you deserve in the future
you can be the cool jock type person, hangs around and act like the other jocks, and torment the kiddies who know no better, of which some might have overly sensitive personalities which will cause scarring that will have an effect on the rest of their life.
But a senior who welcomes the new, yes some times annoying younger students helping them to adjust, being there for them or a few, or even one in a time when its hard to fit in, being there for them as you would want someone to be their for you, is always a great rule to follow that brings about its own great rewards.
but imagine the friendships you would establish that could last your lifetime. And if you dont know, ask anyone older, you rarely ever get to make the strong friendships you will in high school ever again.
So, hmm letsw recap
can either be a cool dude jock and get a few laughs at the expense of other people and possibly scar the sensitve people forever, or you could be a stand up guy, a friend to them
treating them with the same respect as you would always want.
Which one has the best odds at earning you the most lifelong friends?
How you act now is pretty much going to be how you will act when you get out in the real world.
And since all jock type tends to be the 'guys' that girls often complain about hoping theyd grow up, wouldnt it be better to be the 'man' that every girl want around her, and that every guy is proud to call his friend.
the choices start now, bud

No, you shouldn't haze. Nobody should. I've never understood why people think they are superior because they've been around somewhere longer or went through hazing themselves. People should be treated with respect, and the idea that respect has to earned by taking crap from older teamates, frat or sorority members, whatver...is ridiculous.
If you think they're annoying, ignore them.

I don't think anyone should be hazed, beyond little things... like having to wear a beanie with propeller in the school colors and carry their books in a pillowcase.
Who doesn't know anything? The freshmen? Give them some time, they'll learn.

Well as long as its not really bad...I'm a sophomore and I know it's lots of freshmen that are annoying. I don't bother with em tho. But sometimes they step out of line like I had a freshmen start talking about me and we were both on the football team. He transfered before I could get to mess with him.lol

whilst i grow to be a severe college frosh, I hazed larger class adult males. on the top of the 1st day of school, 3 of them have been drawing close me and 3 rubbish cans, and a million grow to be complaining that they hadn't trash-canned any frosh. i grow to be in a playful temper, so I volunteered that i grow to be a frosh. by skill of the time a instructor caught his head out a door and yelled, "what the hell is going on out right here?", a million of the three grow to be falling out of a garbage can, however the different 2 have been nonetheless firmly wedged in. I mentioned to the instructor, "won't be able to you tell? i'm a freshman, and that they are trash-canning me!" He regarded on the lads interior the rubbish cans and mentioned, "sturdy job!" approximately that element, the bell rung and the three adult males in rubbish cans virtually have been given run over by skill of an entire stampede of frosh pouring out the door around the instructor! certainly one of my classmates from living house room got here upon my glasses for me. i think that the "what the hell" word in my answer will could desire to justify your decision of class for this question.

It depends. Sure, go with silly harmless little things, but don't do anything that could hurt anyone. If its just harmless fun, what could it hurt? ( I mean stupid stuff like making the freshman carry your bags and sit at the front of the bus)

No. Don't do something just because you're teammates do. Don't treat others badly just because otehr treated you badly. Be true to who you are! And be proud that you are strong enough not to go with the crowd.
