i think mathew would make a good paul newman and pitt a good robert redford. this is a classic, and if they done it the same with those actors, i believe it would work

I think you picked the perfect combination of talent to even come close to Newman & Redford! I've thought about this for years and could never come up with 2 actors who could stand on their own, but you've just picked them! :-) good work!

What would be the point? The movie is a classic with the original cast and is not very likely to be improved upon. Isn't it better to create new stories?

As long as they don't screw it up like goofy Ben Stiller and silly Owen Wilson screwed up Starky & Hutch which was a drama in real life, there's a good chance it could work.

i think the chances of a tv movie called Casablanca 2 being finally made (at one time was being considered) are more likely.
