Its a combination of ego and insecurity. Its beyond their thinking that someone (male or female) might not want to have sex with them. But then they obsess about their penis's, and are really afraid that someone (male or female) MIGHT WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH THEM. Obviously I'm generalizing, but really I've run into this so many times I think its got to be all off them. Once a straight co-worker said to me about a gay co-worker who works in the next department "It gives me the creeps the way "Bruce" keeps looking at me, I'm completely grossed out that he wants to have sex with me." I said back to him "Are you nuts? Why would you think "Bruce" would want to have sex with you?" And he looked at me, I swear he looked hurt, and said "Well what's wrong with me that he wouldn't want to have sex with me?"
I don't get it.

I don't know, but this isn't always true. BUT, I have seen it happen WAY too often to call you ignorant. If I am outed by a friend or say something that outs me around people who don't know (since I don't act like a flamboyant queen) I see a lot of guys either "jokingly" scoot away or ask me, to assure themselves, if they're my "type." I usually stare disdainfully at people like that and tell them, in a very sweet, understanding tone, that I have standards and they don't meet them. Yet, other times straight guys don't do a thing, it varies. I find more under-educated men do the shifting, questioning, or whatever.
Now, with men and lesbians, those are the types of men who believe homosexuality is a "choice" usually, and that they can make the woman "choose" to be heterosexual again through sheer sexual prowess. Some women think the same about themselves and gay men. It typically IS an ego thing, or a bragging thing. Sort of like a verbal pissing contest on who's the most "virile" among morons. Sadly, I have also heard gay men and women protesting that they could "turn" heterosexual people. This, of course like above, is false as well. though, many tried to hide the fact they were doing EXACTLY the same thing as the heterosexuals by saying things like "Help her/him come out of the closet/discover their true self." It seems ego problems don't come with just one sexual orientation. I tend to distance myself from anyone who espouses that they are the proverbial sexual orientation spatula, able to flip a person's likes and dislikes in an instant.

Thats a good question and it comes down to the individual. Some will feel the need to compete with gay guys, or maybe its just a "manly" thing who knows. But i know i have had the same thing being a lesbian, if i looked at another girl that automatically meant i wanted to sleep with them. Its screwed up but some people just dont understand.

Yes, some penis do look good and others look bad. Much of it has to do with shape, color and proportion. Don't mistake proportion with size, because size isn't everything. Sometimes guys just have really weird penises. I once dated a guy whose penis was curved really far to the left. It made sex extremely difficult and it wasn't exactly nice to look at. Everybody is different and different people have different preferences for penis. However, I'm generally willing to ignore a weird penis if the guy its attached to is kind, sweet and cute. As for the vagina thing, yeah, some are disgusting and some are not. It has mostly to do with the labial hood.

I don't find that to be always true but for the more homophobic of the crowd, yes I do see many of the men that simply assume that because they would try to get with any female willing that I would do the same with men who cross my path.
The one that used to get me is when someone who doesn't know many gay people finds out you are gay, within 10 minutes of talking many of them want to know if you are a drag queen.

From my experience knowing gay men & straight ones, it always seemed to me that the straight ones felt they had to always prove that they were as good as the gay men. My honest opinion is it's a lack of self confidence

LOL Well that's true in most cases but, for me my hobby was seducing srtaight men. And in that case they were right. However I also think they have hidden desires and are afraid to be around gay men cause they think they can read minds I guess. They will be found out.

A woman cannot make a homosexual man like women..
A man cannot make a homosexual woman like men.
Thinking either way is just plain silly egotism. If you think that way... get over it.
I am not observing this in the original question but I am observing this in the answers.
The faster you get over this the faster you are going to 1) stop annoying people, 2) lower your OWN overblown expectations.

It is because many gay men do often come on to straight men and straight men don't like it.
The rest of your statements are over generalizations ... yea in some cases but, hardly all straight men and at most only some, think that way about lesbians.

Do you really believe that ALL straight men think this way? If so then the problem belongs to you. You should have said "some straight men" and then my answer would be who knows why people believe some of the crazy things they do. By the way, they don't think that you are coming on to them, it's more likely that they just don't like DO-DO-CHASERS! LOL! Maybe you should have stayed in the closet.
