I had the exact same problem before. Well, to answer the first part of your question, to get rid of them, you must sleep more. Try 9 hours of sleep. Some people can't go to sleep right away at night, so the left over time that you didn't sleep that night, take a nap right after work to finish sleeping. Do the eat healthy thing too. In the mean while, use a yellow toned concealer one shade lighter than your skin. Put a LITTLE on you circles. Don't try to blend it in too much or it will go into the creases in the under-eye area and not give good coverage. If you have the money to go and buy transulecent powder, put a tad on.

It’s true that you should use a concealer that’s been specifically formulated for under the eyes. Many concealers for the face are designed to cover blemishes and would be too drying for the delicate eye area. The Body Shop Lightening Touch, $21, is designed to mask the appearance of fine lines and dark shadows around the eyes and on the face. As an added benefit it and can also be used for highlighting brow bones and cheekbones. The Community Trade Ingredients in this product include beeswax (Organic) from Zambia and Marula Oil from Namibia. It’s also a good idea to try and prevent the dark circles in the first place by using an eye cream such as Aqua Sensation Anti Shadow Eye Cream, $14.95. The blend of cucumber, magnesium, ginseng and vitamin E helps to relieve puffiness and shadows.
Dark circles under the eyes can be caused by a number of factors and can even be hereditary. If you suffer from hay fever or food allergies you may get dark circles. The shadows can also be the result of a diet that’s high in caffeine, alcohol and/or sugar, instead try including salmon, tuna, more fruits and veggies, plus nuts and olive oil into your diet. In terms of creams to try, Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Anti Shadow Eye Cream, $14.95, is a light gel-crème designed to relieve puffiness and dark circles with its blend of cucumber, magnesium, ginseng and vitamin E. If the circles really worry you, you could try out new miracle product Hylexin, $220! It has already achieved cult status in the USA and Europe for its amazing ability to produce dramatic results within 30 days. Serious under-eye shadows occur when the haemoglobin in the capillary matrix under the eye breaks down. These capillaries literally ‘leak’ blood that begins to oxidise, which in turn creates this dark pigmentation that looks like a bruise under your eyes. Hylexin works by reducing this breakdown of haemoglobin. It’s expensive but this is a highly concentrated formula so it will last you ages.

Under eye circles can be caused by a variety of factors, including hyper-pigmentation, allergies, inflammation, poor micro-circulation, and irritation. There's a new Avon product about to come out that helps improve the circulation in that area. I've been using it a little over a week, and it works great. They aren't gone completely, but they've definitely improved. It's Anew Alternative Intensive Eye Cream. To cover them in the meantime, though, you want to use a concealer with a slightly yellowish tint and use it *only* on the bluish portion. Don't completely cover your undereye area or use one that is too light for you or you'll look silly.

Preperation H is great for bags not always so good for circles. Low Iron in your blood can cause circles. Not enough sleep, stress, allergies, etc. Drink more water, avoid salty foods. Get a restful sleep at night. No lights on, no TV etc. Concealer is God sent. Get a nice light concealer. Apply real lightly under your eyes. Call a doctor they can give you some ideas also, over the phone and for free. It could also be inherated. Talking to a doc is your best bet. Get your blood checked. Could just be you need to eat a few more veggies or pop a small iron pill.

Get some sleep. Actually, there are many causes of dark circles in the eyes. A permanent solution is to get laser surgery but I don't know if it's something you want to do. Temporarily, you can put on concealer that are 1 or 2 shades lighter than your natural skin color. Check out this website.

If you have them every morning my suggestion would be to freeze some spoons every night and then right when you get out of the shower put the spoons over your eyes for like 5 mins. Until then all i can really tell ya is to use some concealor!..
