I would assume so but I've never kept one so I can't say for sure. I found some websites that may help you out though. Check them out below.
Also, you may want to see if you can find a copy of a book called "The Leopard Gecko Manual."

hi, A numerous eating routine of insects should be offered, with the difficulty-free pinkie (infant mouse). For youthful and juvenile Geckos, feed approx. 5-15 crickets each day with the perfect sized food. Adults would properly be fed another day on 2-8 crickets, once a month attempt feeding a small pinkie. Any uneaten food should be got rid of, crickets can damage your Gecko at the same time as drowsing. you'll locate that your Gecko loves wax worms, in user-friendly words feed as treats as those are intense in fat. strong success.

Wow im shocked as to the amount of bad info that gets said on this site. Someone said leos dont drink out of bowls which is wrong. THey also stated that you can feed them springtails which i guess you can but you would have to feed them somthing like 200 as they are really small. Sorry for this i just wanted to give you a heads up on some of this wrong information.
About what you can feed your leo... There are many different types of food you can give him/her. As a staple i would offer you leo meal worms or crickets as they have plenty of nutrients and dont cost much. You can also feed superworms(to adults only), phoenix worms, silk worms, roaches, butter worms, and some types of spiders as a staple. You can off wax worms as a treat but be careful as they are reallllly high in fat and low in nutrients.wax worms can also be addictive and if fed to much your leo can refuse other feeders as i have had this problem in the past. You can also feed him/her a pinkie about once a month or once every other month. You just wanna make sure the pinkie is small enough and the leo is big enough.
I hope this helps... if you have any other questins feel free to e-mail me at socalherpers@yahoo.com

"Food that can be fed to them are: crickets, mealworms, superworms, butterworms, silkworms, pinkys (baby mice, but use only as a treat), waxworms (treat only), and other insects. If you are in doubt as to whether an insect is safe to eat don't feed it, or ask a fellow keeper of that species if it is safe for the Gecko to eat. Leopard Geckos should be fed every other every day as babies and every other day as adults although you could feed the adults every day if you wanted to. They should be fed as much as they will eat each time.
Supplement your Geckos food with vitimin powder twice a week, and calcium the rest of the time."

by giving water : they dont drink water from bowl or bottle. you can dedicate where area of a tank wall should be sprayed everyday (evening ) to furnish water for them to lap up. if you do live in hot humidity weather then need to place some ice cubes on top of the screened top over the plants so that the meltwater can drip on the leaves for easy lapping.

Leopard Geckos are insectivorous, so no they don't eat fruits or vegetables like beardies and iguanas (they're omnivores). Leos can eat mealworms, superworms (for large leos), crickets, and the occassonal waxworm or butterworm as treats (maybe 2 a week). Let your leo eat as much as he wants every evening in a 10minute period. Many books are outdated and don't give ou t good information. I suggest going to reptizone. Please visit these sites, especially repticzone -ask questions there.

They just eat bugs. Crickets wax worms and meal worms. You should add a multi-vitamin powder and calcium powder to them. Just follow the instructions on the bottles.
