I always INTEND to, but before I can help myself, I'm in la-la land wondering whether or not I did my homework right, wondering what the next episode of Scrubs will contain, and other stuff that has no relevence to the topic being discussed. I only realize it when it's too late and I missed something MAJOR. My best friend complains that I don't remember a goddamned thing that she says. Well, I can't help it if I have the attention-span of a hamster, ok?

Yes if they take the time to speak it must be about something important, so I will give them my undivided attention.

When someone is talking to me, I do not always give my undivided attention. Sometimes I will be multitasking.

To be honest sometimes it drifts off and thinks of other things.
I have especially noticed that I do this with one person a lot...I hope I don't think he is boring.

educate "settle". Get a mattress interior the front room. the position ever he can see you, yet be out of ways. at the same time as he's being stressful say "settle" and produce him to the mattress with a chew. Make him lay down and stay there. If he receives up, placed him correct decrease back. do not start up this practise once you've a paper due. practice plenty and do not enable him "win". at the same time as the lesson is over provide a launch command. i exploit "all executed" and "bypass play". praise him for staying there, ignore about him and placed him decrease back at the same time as he receives up. yet another option is to placed him on a leash. at the same time as he receives pushy and nosy, stand on the leash so as that he in user-friendly words has sufficient "slack" to position down. at the same time as he receives up his head is pulled in an uncomfortable position. by technique of creating him lay down, and not in any respect responding to interest searching for habit, you're installation obstacles.
