its escapism.
and some use it as something to strive for. Some value that part of the world, how it makes them feel, or even how they can enter that game and make the enormous profits entertainment brings in all its areas.
But to read intelligent media all the time would only remind everyone just how messed up the govermenet is, remind us how messed up the world is, remind us of the terrible acts that people commit against eachother AND how misleading the media can be....you sure you want more FOX propoganda misguiding the truth.
If it was up to FOX media, everyone would think think this country is the greatest most peaceful place on earth with leaders that are taking the best actions for their constituents, and blame everything bad that happens on the democrats.
Wow, thats even more unrealistic than some of those wierd 3 headed baby magazines.
So, its good to just worry about other people or other things in this crazy day. The true goal is how to do it in moderation, as most people seem to lean in one extreme or the other...crazed debutant socialite wannabes, or narrow minded party war issue type people who cant stop arguing with everyone they come across.
I say mix it up some
half and half is good

I know what you mean. That is the "nothing's on" crap. You're standing in a long line, you flip through, but that's all it's good for. Have you seen the movie "Idiocracy" with Luke Wilson, because that is where our world is going.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't buy these rags and it's a shame others do. True happiness and contentment come from hard work and accomplishment, not from vicariously fantasizing someone else's life.
