i said blacks because not every dark skinned person is african american. not every black person is american. some are from the country of africa. or parts of cuban land. african american may sound like the correct term, but not every black is american like i said.

i'm not saying they aren't allowed, but doesn't that seem weird. a black person dressed all scene like, listening to hard rock. metal stuff.

I see where you are coming from, in terms of that culture often dictates musical preference, but your phrasing "should blacks be allowed...? has a frightening implication.

Musical taste is dictated by something we bring into the world and the world of experience. Yes, blacks that like metal are an oddity, but it takes guts to buck stereotyping. While culturally, one might assume blacks to be not of rock/metal, it would be criminal to limit anyone from whatever is their musical preference.

And what about black contribution to hard rock and metal? If you are into, say, Mudvayne or Static X, you may not consider Jimi Hendrix or Living Color as notable, but these were/are musicians that gave courageous new directions to rock and metal music.

Anybody can do whatever they want to do and should be allowed to do or at least try anything, including being in on the whole hard rock scene.

Africa is NOT a country. It's a continent containing many different countries with a variety of races and ethnic groups.

If you're going to write a definition for "black", make sure you know what you're talking about first!

This is an odd question. Anybody and everybody can listen to whatever they want to.And dress the way they want to. Whatever race you are. Its like saying chinese people should only listen to chinese music and dress in tradtional wear and so on and so forth.

music is universal...it has no race or gender...nor does it wear clothes or care about political agendas. Its created to be enjoyed by any and all who care to listen!

So what point are you trying to make if not racist.

Think of all you're missing because of your close minded bigotry.

If a person likes a certain kind of music, then they like. Why does their race matter?
