I think you need a cd provided by HP for your laptop which contains all the software needed to run the hardware properly
hard disk clicking sound is considered harmful ( sign of deteriorating hard disk) You could show it to the nearest computer shop.
The way I devised after one of the fans in my HP laptop stopped functioning and I was told that the replacement is not available in my country, I purchased a small table fan, and placed it near the laptop so that the air is blown into the air vent. This way I managed to run my laptop which would otherwise have been not usable.

You may need to activate the special function keys on the laptop. Go to Control Panel, then Keyboard, then see if there are options to turn on the SF keys.

You may have to go to the HP website to download drivers for the SF keys if they are not on your laptop.

To cool down a hot laptop, take a thin ( 1" - 2" thick ) block of wood and rest the back of the laptop on it.

I don't know why your HD click really fast, maybe you need to defragment the drive to minimize the HDA movements ( which are the likely cause of the noise ).

1> goto HP support and search your model for downloads and find application software related to those bottons.

2> What do you mean by HD isn't loud?

3> You can not cool it down, it is your computer behavior. I recommend you Dell laptops. they have good performance, therefore you won't have problem with extra heat exchange.

Typically, laptops have proprietary files to download, depending on the model of computer, to make their computers use those keys.

Try going to your manufacturers site. There, typically you tell them the EXACT model of the computer. They may even ask for a serial number. At that point, the site will point to all the files you need to download and install. (I typically create a folder called "my downloads" in my documents and I save all the stuff for my computer there so I have them). It's just double clicking and it installs everything automagically.

1. Go here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=66616&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=66614&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228

Scroll down to Driver-Keyboard and download the Onetouch Keyboard driver. This should fix your Onetouch button issue.

2. It sounds like your hard drive is starting to go bad

3. Make sure there is sufficient clearance under it to allow the air to flow freely. You may need to blow out the dust clogging your heatsink.
