Yes- perfection doesn't exist in human form hence being "only human". Now, how many humans do you know who actually strive for perfection any way... not many if any. Most are too selfish or caught up in materialistic and greedy aspirations- like finding happiness through power or shopping or food or money or beauty or sex ( or causing misery through betrayal and manipulation in order to make themselves look better.) That is an imperfection. What happened to loving your neighbor - peace and Goodwill towards men and women? That is something to strive for!

no i don't think so. to strive for "perfection" is to set a standard, against which a person's life progress can be measured.
remember one person's ideal of perfection can be seen as another's shortcoming...or even their desired level of achievement.
perfection is usually designed and desired by the individual, and their need for whatever life enhancements they feel they lack, or that are necessary for self fulfillment.
while the strive for perfection is not in and of itself an imperfection, the outcome seems to always be less than perfect. most people can live with that.

In a way yes... I have seen people sincerely striving for perfection being highly miserable and unhappy with themselves. Since perfection is only a concept and NEVER a reality, the strife for perfection keeps encountering the failed events and instances every now and then and the person starts believing as though the shortcoming is his/her own rather than the truth that perfection is just a mirage!!

Every individual is already perfect. Even the baby born with two heads. No need to strive to be anything but comfortable. Humans are just an unsatisfied lot, we think too much, often about what everyone is thinking, most aren't happy with themselves and they surely aren't happy being someone else. Where is god and his death ray?

I would argue that in striving for perfection, the realization that you can never reach it, only strive for it, is as perfect as you can get within the situation.

I think most humans don't strive for perfection. Most humans live and work based on HOPE. We simply hope for something better. Hope is what motivates us to become greater than we are.

It is the journey towards perfection that gives the thrill.
Human is designed to be able to stretch the capabilities infinitely.
Or else, the thrill of the journey is 'used-up' by the earlier generations, and the basic cellular 'desire' to live would be extinguished !
