Does anyone else NOT understand how a game where you move a thing around yourself is actually ENTERTAINING? I'm sorry but i "played" it once, and you know what happened? The cursor sat on the board like the dumb piece of plastic it was. Can someone please enlighten me if they like this game?

It is not really a game, Even though it says something like that on the box. It is more or less a psychic tool just the same as tarot cards or a crystal ball.

I know people that use it, that swear by it, others that won't touch it, and won't have one in their house. Most of the latter think that it opens up your house to evil spirits.

These things have been sold forever.

The theory is to have at least two people, or more, relaxed, all lightly touching the heart shaped object, called the "planchette" as I recall. In the same way that some psychics report automatic writing, the subconscious of whoever is in tune with the thing will move it to point to different answers, not really under conscious control.

Some people report good results with it, more with practice.
It isn't really a thing to like or dislike, it is obviously not for you. Put it up on ebay for 10.00, someone will buy it.

Usually you play this is groups and with a bunch of people with their hand on it, it will get moved. However, it is supposed to move on it's own because it's supposed to be a game based on supernatural and something along the lines of witchcraft.... I never found it very fun either, except in middle school with a bunch of giggly girls.

careful with that one. some claim it's only entertainment but others feel it opens another portal that ought not to be opened. it was a game invented somewhere around the turn of 19th-20th century. the name, ouija, means yes, yes in french & german. it was to be a parlor game for amusement but, again , as stated, some have taken it to another level & have not-too-good-results. proceed but do so carefully & at your own risk.

My sisters and I played it when we were little kids - my oldest sister, who was in 6th grade at the time, pushed it where she wanted it to go. She'd ask a question like "Is Missy (me) going to die tonight?" and then she's make it spell out yes so I'd be scared - since I was the youngest.

But pretty much, beyond using it to terrorize small children, it's not fun.

Its supposed to move to make it seem like you're talking to a ghost. I played it once when I was like 12. It moved on its own, and even so, I still wasn't fascinated with it.

I have to agree with you. Why would anyone waste their money buying that? I had a friend that loved to use it. I finally told her to forget it, that I knew she was pushing it around the board. . . .
However, kudos to the person who came up with the idea.
He/she has probably made a fortune off of it.
