when you Christen your baby how do u pick the god mom or dad . can it be a cousin or a friend .

your babies god parents are whom ever you want, a cousin a friend or brother or sister. just make sure they will be a good influence in the childs life.

I think it can be anybody. The purpose of a REAL godparent is to take care of the child in the event that you can not be there to do so. So naturally you should pick someone who you can trust and who is responsible to do this.

It can be anyone you trust and who is willing to take that role. A family member is nice, but mainly it should be the one or ones you and the other parent most like for the job.

I chose people who I knew would love my son and were likely to stay close to him all of his life and to be a positive influence. You can choose a friend or a family member, anyone you like.

it can be anyone you trust wholeheartedly with your children. it took me three years to pick a godmother for my child. the person i chose is in his life and he sees her often and he loves her very much and vice versa. if anything ever happened to you and you wanted this person to take in your children who would you want and trust to raise your kids? this person is also supposed to be of the same religious belief, but they dont have too.
