I'm 40 weeks pregnant today. I went to the doctor yesterday and I am 1 cm dilated. Tonight have a pain in my vaginal area. Far as I know I haven't lost my plug and my waters haven't broke. But I keep having a trickle like I am peeing my pants when I move. I don't know if this is urine or my aminiotic fluid leaking?b All I know is my underwear is wet but not soaked. I am due January 22. Could labor be close?

This is my first pregnancy and so far I haven't had any problems. A few contractions I think here and there. He's still moving good.

i had the same problem, i thought i was peeing, but it was fluids leaking, i had no contractions at all, i went to the hospital and my aminotic sacs had ruptured, it isn't always a gush a water when your water breaks and if this is happening go to the doctor b/c u don't want to risk the baby getting an infection. and don't wait once you leak fluid you need to go to the doctor within 2 hours, so said my lamaze teacher and my ob/gyn even if there are no contractions

The trickle could be urine, but you should go in so they can test it. If you are leaking amniotic fluid and don't go into labor soon, it can be dangerous to your baby. There is a simple test they use to test for the presence of amniotic fluid. They simply stick a small test strip to the inside of the vagina and if it turns blue, there is amniotic fluid present. You can probably wait until morning though, you don't need to go to the ER or anything. Congrats, and hope everything goes well for you.

You probably broke your water. That can happen like you described. Everyone is diff especially if there is alot of fluid behind the baby, Go to the hospital and get checked. The least that will happen is they will send you home. But I think you have started labor. Call your OB after hours line and tell them what is going on and they will let you know what you need to do. You need to get it checked because you can only go so long without a bacterial infection for you and your baby, so call unless you want your baby to have an IV right after birth to minister antibiotics.

You need to call your doctor right away. That may be your aminiotic fluids!! That happened to my friend with her second pregnancy! She didn't lose it all at once it would just trickle! They have a test that they can do to see if it is or not! its just a q-tip the they wipe there and if it turns a certain color(blue I think) the it's the fluid!! So you could very well be in labor! Good luck! congrats!

call your doctor or midwife if you think your water has broke. they need to know. my water broke and i ended up getting induced because i didn't go into active labor soon enough. but, i knew my water broke. i just knew. try laying on your side because the babies head acts like a cork and stops the fluid from leaking out. if you get really wet in about a minute, then yes your water probably has broken. but call your doctor!

My cousin had the same problem and we went to the hospital and the nurese told her she just peed on herself, but the doctor was going to check her out. Well the nurse was an idiot and 5 hours later her son was born. But I wouldn't go rushing to the hospital just yet. Wait for the contractions.

Please call the doctor, even if it ends up being nothing! Waters can break with out a gush and if you are dripping amniotic fluid, that can be very dangerous for the baby, so it better to be safe than sorry!

I examine organic Childbirth the Bradley way. It even is composed of the workouts you could practice. I additionally examine The Brewer medical food plan for standard and extreme-risk being pregnant. I observed the Brewer food plan while i replaced into pregnant. I used the Bradley approach with all 4 of my births. I additionally examine Husband Coached Childbirth, yet that e book does not incorporate what you could practice to get waiting for start.

if it feels like liquid, it might be your water breaking. it doesn't gush out with everyone. sometimes there is only a little at a time. put a pad on, call the doctor. only he/she will know for sure. they might even decide to break it all the way. good luck!
