The United States actively persued involvement throughout the world after WWII. Instead of demilitarizing after the war, the US sent troops to Greece and Turkey to quell civil uprising that could have possibly brought communism to those countries. This military involvement continued in Korea, Vietnam, and various S. American countries. This was the first time in US history that the country did not demilitarize after war.
The US also funneled money to help fund parties that were anti-communist in China, S. America, Africa, and the Middle East
In conclustion, the US did not aim for either isolation or neutrality after WWII.

WWII pretty much ended any thoughts of isolationism. There wasn't much to be neutral about once the war was resolved. Did some idiotic history teacher ask you to research that question?

The establishment of the United Nations and the effort at containment of communism rules out both, but after major conflicts and years of death, usually everyone wants isolationism. But it's just about a 30 minute lapse from missile launch to detonation half way around the globe, we don't have that luxury of isolation anymore.

Neutrality was out of the question. This is a fascinating period of American and world history. Do some research. Reads some books. Don't rely on the internet alone. The work will do you alot of good.

I would say it was involved in more affairs because of commies. War ended in 1945 and Korean was in 1950-53 so I would say we became more involved in world conflicts to stop the spread of communism.

Some argue that the US is increasingly practicing its own brand of Imperialism....so to answer your question, neither.
