As far as I know, the producer said that there is a possibility for X Men 4, even though it isn't a sure thing. The first 3 movies were supposed to be part of a trilogy, but that doesn't mean that other movies won't be made. Scripts are apparently currently being written for Magneto and Wolverine spin offs. Hugh Jackman is supposedly interested. There is, to be best of my knowledge, no information if the Magneto spin off would star McKellen. A number of actors have showed interesting in making an X Men 4, including Halle Berry.

No, he's not. Because there is no Xmen 4 being made. However, you can catch him in 2008 or 2009 in the spin-off 'Magneto'!!! Yay! Check out www.imdb.com for details on Magneto AND the upcoming Wolverine with Hugh Jackman set to star.
